Website help sized for small-town budgets and the purchasing rules you already follow.
A free outside-in snapshot of your town’s website, a 15-minute screenshare with Matt, and a written report your board can read. Nothing touches your live site without written authorization.
What we help with
Three things worth having on the town’s radar
Software past its support date
Many town sites run on PHP, Drupal 7 or Joomla 3. Drupal 7 ended January 5, 2025, Joomla 3 ended in August 2023, and PHP 8.2 reaches end-of-life on December 31, 2026.
We check what yours runs on, from the outside.
ADA Title II web accessibility
The federal rule requires WCAG 2.1 AA: April 26, 2027 for entities of 50,000 or more, and April 26, 2028 for smaller towns, per DOJ’s April 20, 2026 interim final rule.
Current law, subject to change. See the dates.
A report the board can read
Plain English, one finding at a time, with what it means and what it costs to fix.
The report is the town’s to keep either way.
Purchasing
Built to fit Mississippi’s purchasing rules
| Purchase size | What Miss. Code § 31-7-13 requires |
|---|---|
| $5,000 or less | No competitive bids required. |
| Over $5,000 up to $75,000 | Two competitive written bids. |
| Over $75,000 | Must be advertised. |
General information, not legal advice. Confirm with your clerk or attorney which rules apply to a given purchase.
Municipal audit$1,250–$2,500
Quoted in writing. It typically sits under the $5,000 small-purchase line, and for larger work we provide a signed letterhead quote for your two-quote file.
For context, many small-town website platforms run about $1,400–$6,000 a year, every year, often with automatic increases. The audit is credited in full toward any fix.
How it works
Small first step, nothing touched without your OK
Free snapshot
We look at the town’s website from the outside, the same view any resident’s browser gets, and write it up on one page.
15 minutes with Matt
A screenshare with the clerk or administrator. If something needs doing, you get a fixed price in writing.
Written audit, then the fix
With signed authorization: full backup, changes on a private test copy, testing, your written OK, then the live site.
Out of scope
What we don’t take on
